Free Postal Kits

The U.S. Postal Service has brought out the first in a "Celebrate the Century" series of new curriculum kits, through a collaboration with the Dept. of Ed. The dynamic cross-cultural kits will take students and teachers on a "field trip" through each decade of the 20th century. The first kit in the ten-decade series focuses on the 1950s and is now available at no cost to teachers.

Designed primarily for students in grades 3-6, the kits include:

• easy-to-use teacher's guide

• student activity magazine

• computer and Internet activities

• interactive classroom visuals

• educational games

Write to: Celebrate the Century, U.S. Postal Service, P.O. Box 44342, Washington, D.C. 20078-0026, or call: Patti Burke (202) 268-7462.
